Does ChatGPT recommend your business?
Buyers now ask AI assistants which company to choose. Find out whether yours is in the answer, who is named instead, and what to fix.
ChatGPT, asked 10 buyer questions about CRM software on 23 October 2026, such as:
Which CRM should a 10-person sales team use?
- HubSpot
- Pipedrive
- Salesforce
- Zoho
- Microsoft
- Your brand?
How the check works
Read your homepage
We read what you sell and who you sell to, then write the questions a buyer in your market asks an AI assistant.
Ask ChatGPT
The three most commercial questions go to ChatGPT, phrased the way a buyer types them, without your brand name.
Read every answer
We find each company the answer names, in order, every link it gives, and whether your robots.txt lets AI crawlers in.
Score and fixes
You get a score out of 100, the full answers, and the specific gaps to close first.
What your result shows
Each finding comes with the full answer it was read from, so you can check exactly what ChatGPT told a buyer.
| Score | 0 to 100 and a grade, from where you appear in each answer. |
|---|---|
| Named instead | The companies ChatGPT recommends for your buyers' questions, in order. |
| Sources | The websites the answers point to: where a mention would help most. |
| AI crawlers | Whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini are allowed to read your site. |
| Fixes | The first changes to make, ranked by what the answers show. |
Who ChatGPT names, by category
Every week we ask ChatGPT ten buyer questions per category and count which brands it recommends. The rankings are public.
| Category | Named most often | Share of answers |
|---|---|---|
| CRM software | HubSpot | 90% |
| Email marketing software | Mailchimp | 70% |
| Project management software | Trello | 50% |
| Help desk software | Zendesk | 80% |
| Website builders | Squarespace | 80% |
| SEO tools | Semrush | 70% |

Questions
What does the free check measure?
Whether ChatGPT names your business when someone asks the questions your buyers ask. We write three of those questions from your homepage, ask each one, and record who ChatGPT recommends, in what order, and which websites it points to.
Which AI does it ask?
OpenAI's ChatGPT model, through the API. It answers from what the model learned, without running a live web search, so it shows what the model already believes about your market. The ChatGPT app can search the web for some questions and may answer differently.
How is the score calculated?
Each answer earns 100 points if you are named first, 80 in the top three, 60 in the top five, 40 if named further down, 20 if only your website is linked, and 0 if you are missing. The score is the average across the answers. Grades: A from 80, B from 60, C from 40, D from 20, F below.
Why do you ask for my email?
It keeps one free check per person and lets UrbanoDX follow up about your result if you tick the box. We do not add you to a newsletter or share your address.
Is three questions enough?
It is enough to see whether you are in the conversation at all. AI answers vary from day to day, so a decision about content or PR deserves daily measurement of a larger question set, which is what the GEO console does.
How do I get mentioned more often?
Answer your buyers' questions directly on your own site, get listed and reviewed on the sites AI assistants cite for your category, and make sure AI crawlers are allowed to read your pages. Your result lists the specific gaps we found.
Want this fixed, not just measured?
UrbanoDX writes the pages, structured data and source placements that get a business named in AI answers, and tracks the result daily.
